Project Name : Forge Creek Biodiversity Project Year 2

Funding Source: 2014/15 - Gippsland Lakes environmental fund ( Gippsland Lakes ministerial advisory committee) administered by  East Gippsland Landcare.

Start/ Fin 1st July 2014 /30 June 2015

Project Overview: This project will improve biodiversity through wetland and woodland restoration within the Forge Creek Reserve- a tributary of the Gippsland Lakes, reduce sediments and nutrients entering the Gippsland Lakes and increase community understanding about the national importance of the area.

Cobblers Creek Wetland Restoration Project

Funding Source:  GPCMN was invited by the EGW to undertake the restoration of the Cobblers Creek Wetland.

Project objectives- This project is to restore Biodiversity to a wetland that is part of Cobblers Creek which flows into McLeod’s Morass.

Restoring Grassy woodlands to Deighton Creek

Project Overview: This project aims to restore fringing wetland of Deighton Creek, (which runs into Toms Creeks and in turn into the Gippsland Lakes) which will improve water quality, mitigate erosion and increase biodiversity.
